Second of all, Coach Brenda Frese is 32 weeks pregnant with twins, and is ginormous! It was really funny to see her waddling around the court. For most of the game, she sat in a big, black office chair on wheels and had an assistant pushing it around. She's also apparently not supposed to be yelling a whole lot, and you could tell she was trying to keep her emotions in check -- we half-expected to see babies dropping out onto the floor! With twins, women never go to 40 weeks, so she'll probably be delivering soon -- right before March Madness kicks in.
Finally, I got to see the newest of the Maryland "Fear the Turtle" commercials. I have always loved the Fear the Turtle campaign, and absolutely adore all the commercials. Those of you still in the College Park area have probably seen it, but some of us live far, far away now!
And in case you need a refresher on some of the past ads, here you go:
Also, a cute thing I noticed was the new (to me) "27 sports, 1 team" marketing campain. All the sports are represented by periodic table-styled symbols, like "Bb" for basketball, "Fb" for football, and "Sw" for swimming. As I'm a total dork, I love it.

It reminds me one of my favorite Christmas gifts this year: a set of salt and pepper shakers that has "NaCl" and "Pe + (Pe)r" printed on them. Adorable!!!
I really miss going to big Maryland basketball and football games. I've only been to one Louisville football game since I've been here, and it just wasn't the same. Sigh. I miss you, Terps!
