growing up

I went to the gym tonight for the first time in two weeks, and for the first time since my birthday. I had a moment of panic when the treadmill asked me to input my age and I realized I had to enter 26 rather than 25 :( The second moment of panic came when I had to input my weight and realized it was higher than the last time I was at the gym. Only 2 pounds higher, but still. Back on the bandwagon...

We have also received two additional pieces of mail to put on the refrigerator, adding to the already-crowded collection of announcements. We now have: 1 marriage announcement, 5 Save the Dates, 1 wedding shower invitation, 2 birth announcements, a set of new baby pictures serving as a birth announcement, and 3 Christmas card pictures. The whole freezer section of the door is full! And we're running low on magnets. Thankfully, one of the Save the Dates IS a magnet, which helps things significantly. At some point I'll have to cull the herd; things like Save the Dates and invitations have inherent expiration dates for display, but I'm not really sure how long the others should last. Christmas pictures until next Christmas? (I know a family that does this.) By analogy, baby announcements should last until the baby's first birthday and marriage announcements until the first wedding anniversary? I'm kind of happy that right now there is nothing more pressing on my mind than this.
