More anti-vaccine crap

Public health risk seen as parents reject vaccines

This is nothing new, I know, but I had to point out this woman's idiotic quote:

“When I began to read about vaccines and how they work,” she said, “I saw medical studies, not given to use by the mainstream media, connecting them with neurological disorders, asthma and immunology.”

Really? Vaccines connected to immunology? Thank goodness you read those studies, or that little fact might have been kept secret by the medical community!

Sigh. More stupid people doing stupid things.

I think people are just nervous about what they don't understand. Think about this: you're told that to prevent a disease, you have to let someone shoot some of that disease into you with a hypodermic. And if stuff happens, it's natural to wonder why. But the answer is for everyone to do a little more research, I think.

ugh, this article made me see red! i completely share your feelings about this issue... how do people not understand that this is unethical/irresponsible parenting?

I think I have the same reaction whenever I read about nutrition or exercise health information. People think they're all experts. How come everyone feels compelled to tell others how to do their job? I think I'll leave the doctoring to the doctors, just like I leave space exploration to NASA.
