Things like this (the observations being made, not the op-ed itself) drive me so INSANE that I cannot even think straight.
I do what I'm supposed to do -- educate the misinformed people around me, work with groups like PHNP, write to legislators when I feel like it might actually help -- and yet, I can't help but feel that the only way for anything to change is for me to reach out and actually strangle the people who are doing this to us, personally and with great pleasure. AAAAARRGGGGHHHHH!

Took my surgery shelf today. It was everything I thought it would be and much worse. At least it's over. Just one more day at the hospital tomorrow (a long story, but really, what other department makes you report for work AFTER your final exam!?!?) and then 4 days with an ENT (yay, office hours!) next week. A short oral exam next Friday, and then I am DONE!!!

I love the people who say that many uninsured CHOOSE to be uninsured - the self-employed, for example. Well, yeah, when it costs $800 a month for health insurance and you're making $2000 a month, that's a choice?
Ridiculous!
Glad you're wrapping up the surgery. Now, what's next?
Wow, Krugman's piece makes me sick too. Good thing I don't "choose" to go without healthcare. We have a Rural Areas Medicine event in SW VA every summer where 5000 come and line up for literally days (its over a weekend and people arrive on Wednesday) to receive free/reduced cost basic healthcare and you're telling me we should just laugh at them Mr. President?
Anyway, I'm glad surgery is basically over. Have fun on your break!
