ARGH!!!!

So, after all that, it turns out I didn't need to change my driver's license after all! The only reason I thought I needed to was because I was sentenced to driving school as a result of my November speeding ticket, and all driving school-related information was going to be sent to the address that was on my driver's license, which was my Maryland one. However, the cop used my original Maryland address, which is wrong, and didn't pay attention to the address update card I gave him with my license. So I thought the driving school info was going to an invalid address, and the court told me it wouldn't be forwarded because it was official, and the only way to update my address was using the address listed on a driver's license. So that meant I needed to get a KY driver's license, which was what I did. Today, I went to the driving school office to update my address and schedule driving school and they told me that they stopped allowing out-of-state drivers to attend driving school in 2004, so I'm clear in KY, but to check with MD to make sure they weren't going to issue points. So I called the MD MVA, and after being on hold for 25 minutes, I finally got a real person who checked my record and said I was clear. So I'm clear everywhere, and I didn't need to get the KY license after all! Grr.

And, even more GRRRRRR, I now can't find my new driver's license! I last remember seeing it on the kitchen counter, and now it's gone. If I have to go get ANOTHER one, I will be very mad. Plus, I got a parking ticket today, so there's another $15 down the drain. And the ticket is filed under my new KY plates, so they know how to find me. If I had just kept all of my old MD stuff, they would never have been able to track me. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! >:O

MVAs, DMVs, DOTs -- I hate them all. I'm with you an the ARGHHHHH!!! That's one of the main reasons I still have a MD license a YEAR after moving... Hmmm... I suspect that's illegal in some compacity.

Yeah, you're definitely illegal, but since I'm a student, I could have kept my MD license and been OK (it had a good picture, too!)
